Hi everyone! I'm so excited to be joining the Umbricians team as its newest member. I'm originally from Vermont and made the move to Denver in October 2025. I studied Neuroscience and Philosophy at Dickinson College, so working with FYIN under the guidance of the Umbricians team has brought me into a completely different world; I mean that in the best way possible. 

In what I can only describe as a fortunate turn of events, I first met our CEO and my now-manager on a chairlift at Winter Park. At the time, I'll be honest; I wasn't quite sure what I was getting myself into. But having worked with this team for three weeks now, I know just how lucky I was to have gotten on that chairlift with Chris and David. 

Learning Umbraco has been one of the most interesting parts of this journey. Getting into the backoffice for the first time was a little overwhelming. There's a lot going on behind the scenes that you'd never notice just from looking at a website. Understanding how content is structured, figuring out how different pieces connect, and realizing how one small error can affect an entire page has given me a whole new appreciation for what our developers do. It's been a process of trial, error, and a lot of questions, but everyone’s patience and eagerness to help me learn has made my transition into the team that much easier.  

I'm really happy to be here and genuinely excited to see where this journey takes me. There's still so much to learn, and I couldn't have landed with a better team!
